Another Scam…..Don’t Fall for this One
Apr 20th, 2008 by BohemianMoon
I spend a great deal of time on the net, obviously, because our biz is here. In between reading clients, administering our website, corresponding with guests for the radio show and the million of other things that I accomplish online, I, like thousands of others, like to just plain surf the web to unwind and see what I can see.
I come across a lot of interesting stuff, funny stuff, enlightening stuff, and stuff that just irks me to no end, and this one takes the cake for the week:
Their front page states: “Welcome to the Online Psychic, Unlocking the Sercrets of Your Future Using the Collective Powers of the Internet”
Ohhhhhh mysterious, we like mysterious! And intriguing too…..I mean who DOESN’T want to know how the secrets of their future can be unlocked by the powers of the internet, lol.
The site is a pretty one, I will give them that. Stylish even. The pictures of the nine “readers” on the site are done in black and white, following the trendy black and white picture craze that has been so prevelent the last year. One also only has to scroll their mouse over the pictures and the entire profile of the reader pops up, how cool and convenient.
Oh and WAIT, whats this? I can test my connectivity to one of the readers free of charge? Cool! We like free stuff, free stuff is GOOOOOOD!
I’m game, lets go!
So after a two page diatribe on “how the process works”, and a weird test, so they can “get to know you better”, they ask you to choose the type of reading and reader that you would like. AND, they also make you register, no doubt to spam you down the line with their mind blowing services.
Finally you are taken to a screen where in there are five playing cards. You are told through text that the reader you have chosen is connecting to you. The screen shows five playing cards. You are told to concentrate on one specific card for a moment, and then press the button, as the reader is going to show connection by choosing the very card that you have.
And by jove, it works!
Wow, how very impressive….makes you want more right? If this reader can do this surely they can unlock all of the secrets of the future……..right? Right?
My intuition was telling me different, but the investigator in me just HAD to see how this would play out. You then push a button for your free read, which turns out to be a small paragraph that has obviously computer generated.
Now comes the hard sell while the querent is still “high” off of that incredible card connection. You can now, for a price get true indepth readings from your reader, and as many as you choose for the monthly fee of only $49.95! Now these are not the mini computer generated ones, these are the indepth one with your chosen reader. What a bargain, what a deal!
Everything I had told me SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, but you know, while curiosity killed the cat, satisfaction brought it back, and I needed see this through to the end.
My inuition rarely ever fails me, so I paid the fee via Paypal, and waited for my confirmation to come so I could go back in and have an indepth with my reader. I have to say that the site was quick, they had my confirmation number to me before PayPal had my receipt to me.
(Money, money, money, money…………….MONEY)
I went back to the site through the confirmation link, and I once again clicked on my reader’s picture and typed my question, and wouldn’t you know, lickety split, there it was (DAMN, she types faster than David). My indepth reading from my reader, all there in black and white, and wouldn’t you know further, that it has nothing to do with my question, lol.
It was computer generated. There are no real people there. I thought that this was the case, and I confirmed it.
Luckily for me, I was able to get my money back straight away, so no loss there. Even if I hadn’t, it would have been worth the $49.95, just to be able to blog about this shister, and warn others of this money grubbing scum. Clever scum, but scum nevertheless.
Keep tuned for more Psychic Scams! And just for fun, the first person to guess how the do the card connection will get a free email reading from me (I already know how they do it, but lets see if you do), and I promise, I am a real person!

The card trick is easy. You use black and red courts – but you use different ones. Say that the first time you see:
King Diamonds/King Spades/Jack Hearts/Queen Diamonds
The second screen will come up:
King Hearts/King Clubs/Jack Diamonds/Queen Hearts
So no matter which card you picked – it’s not amongst the second lot. And you usually don’t notice it because you were concentrating on one particular card, and all the court cards look pretty similar. It’s an old stage magician’s trick.
I agree the site is kind of matrixy-looking.

Hey there~ Glad to hear from you. I have not been doing a lot of commenting on my blog as I have been hugely huge busy, but I wanted to know that I have seen all of your comments, and I thank you for continuing to weigh in:) You are appreciated!
As for this reader, I don’t know her, so I cannot comment. I do not know what type of reading that you were going for, but it pretty rare that a medium is also a clairvoyant. I do know a couple, actually, but they are pretty rare.
The one thing that I can tell people about readings, is that it should be uplifting and insightful, and they should emphasize that your OWN inutition is one of the most important things for a person to develop. We ALL have intuition. That is so ingraned in our DNA, there is no denying it. The problem arises when people dismiss those “gut” feelings or hunches that they have and let their minds take over. No one can read your own intuition better than you! At any time you feel uneasy in a reading; it simply does not feel right, end the reading.
There are a lot of frauds out there, there is no doubt about that. But, there are in every business. Just look at J&K. They also play a Christian card which disturbs me almost more than the exploitation of their children.
Let me know how it goes, and if I can help you with anything else, don’t hesitate to ask:)
Peace and good!
