As I understand it that, is a fair point Moon, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. LOL Just, the limited time I’ve been here all opinions are allowed and Moon has stated the kids are off limits. That earned alot of respect for me. I also have the impression that any opinion submitted with a respect of that subject is treated the same. And while she doesnt need me to parphrase I think she is just saying a discussion of another blog isn’t a topic here. This site exists for discussions of topics listed above. Smart way to operate Moon, avoids alot of problems.

I agree with you and thank you for your impressions!

I do want to ask though, and I am stating it publicly for the reason only that I would like other bloggers and readers of Musings to read this, but I would prefer if we kept the mention or discussion of other Gosselin blogs off of Musings.

I do believe that other blogs, just as I with Musings, have the right to conduct their blogs in the manner in which they feel right for the owners, moderators (for those that have them – I am just me here), bloggers and readers. I don’t like when people try to tell me what, when and why I should or should not place something on my blog, and while other blogs delight in talking a great deal about other blogs, I am not interested in that happening at Musings with any regularity. I do hope you understand, and that I am not pointing you out in any way. It was just a good “jumping off” point to say something that I feel important to myself and Musings as a whole.

Again, I do hope that you understand.

Elsewhere a question was posed to its minions (that’s how they come off), if they like the show more now or less. Not surprisingly, they all agreed they liked the show more – mostly based on the “haters” reaction. How stupid is that? To like something just because others don’t.
There are some people on GWOP who post things about Kate’s hairstyle which I think is over the top. I think the nasty things posted about the kids is wrong too, but who can blame the posters? Their own parents have said some vile things, so that pretty much makes them fair game. While lately, the posts have more than their share of fluff, there are some questions that are raised that are valid. If it seems nitpicky, I think some people are really noticing the “little things” come into play within the “big lie” – the big Gosselin Lie.
I don’t know about you (general you) but if Jon and Kate were honest. Meaning – “we like the freebies, the trips, everything, we don’t clip coupons or use layaway, the sob stories are just so you are compelled to dig deeper, we don’t need the money, our kids be damned.” Then I personally wouldn’t have an issue. At least they are being honest. Would that change the sheeple’s opinion? Probably not because they’re all pretty much stupid for liking them so much now.

She offered to put me through to the reporters voice mail. I will call back, I’m thinking myself Moon many people see them as we do. Alot of these interviews I think are set up by the PR people for advertisment, Ski Park City, more then the love for J&K. She did see my point I was like okay heres another. lol

I called KUTV today and spoke with someone that said she was pass on my comments to the interviewer. Now I know some might find it hard (not necessarily here) to believe but she agreed with me. I told her some of the misrepresentations given to the viewer based soley on her book, and Jons’ interview. I also asked why the reporter did not do a little background prior to the interview.

Someone told me about six or eight months ago that Jon and Kate themselves would bring about their own end and now I’m starting to believe it. They’ve lied so much that they can’t keep it straight. The book isn’t even consistent throughout or consistent with what they’ve said on the show or church appearances. They seem to have reached the point of arrogance where they think people will believe whatever they say which is usually the tipping point toward the end.

I think that the interview with Jon changed many minds. I agree, using the term “marketability” is disgusting! I also felt like he was dissing the other families for being “nice” and “just sitting there” as he said. WTF. Does he really believe his family is that much more worthy of all this attention? J&K are total attention whores and their poor children are suffering because of it.
Well, except Cara and Hannah.

I wanted everyone to know where I came into all of this discussion. For years I watched this show and really felt okay with it. Some moment were awkward like the bathing moments, and some others. I thought even as Jon stated, hey we go to the park anyway, why not film it. Technically to make money off of someone else is expoliting them though and in this case, we agree the children had no say so, as well, I didn’t really see that.
As episodes went by I did see Kate changing, she became more vocal, more abrasive, more demanding. She began to complain about being exhausted while all I saw was Jon doing the loading, unloading, bathing, and dressing and many times while she was not around. I saw others fold, iron and put laundry away, all this help was there from the beginning, and so much more.
Then a visit to the website during the fiasco and the strange disaclaimer they had. I started to look around, things did not add up. I even saw the archieved webpages of donations in the thousands of dollars. I tried to blog rather unsucessfully and found this site.
I say this because two things have become rather clear to me. The first being alot of the rumors regarding them were discussed in her book. Jons’ loss of employment, her treatment of people after the remodling job, consignment shop, giving back. The book confirms the earlier rumors, so who was wrong? It appears the rumors about J&K were true by her own admission.
Secondly I never really felt these kids were being exploited, if you read my posts, that was one issue I never had. J&K being greedy yes, kids exploited no. Again I have been proven wrong, this time by Jon. When you use the term marketability in reference to your family or show which features your family, what am I to presume. Again thanks for setting me straight on that issue as well, I was wrong, you are exploiting your children.
