As most of you know already, Kate Gosselin will be on Larry King Live this evening. I am confused, actually that she has gone to California as I thought she was to be in Chicago for a previous engagement, ah, but anything for more top exposure, eh?

I read that from Jan. 31st. till Feb. 1st Kate was in Willow Creek Plum Grove, Illinois. Then on Feb. 4th, she will be at the Indianapolis Home Show. It doesn’t seem like she is spending very much time in her new home. I bet that Mady is glad that Kate is gone. After all, Mady likes Jon better.
I wonder if Kate can use all these trips as a tax deduction.

She isn’t paying for these trips, although tax-wise they are a cost of doing business, but I suspect her trips are totally financed. Who is she to say no?
That house, any house is better off without her. The specter (re) of her return rant and rave is probably always upon them, but at least the kids and Jon get a break. They are able to smile and possibly even laugh in another room without her appearing in a doorway to stop it.
I have such fun with the kids acting like a kid myself — so does my husband — and the kids just think it is great. Too bad Jon is not allowed to actually play that way with his kids. Kate seems somewhat jealous of her own children. Am I the only one who saw that when she interrupted the play-do session with Jon and the kids, she just seemed pissed off that they were having fun?

If the topic is Octopussy, I think Kate (and the PR team) will try and differentiate between Nadya Suleman “intentionally” trying to have HOM’s, and Kate “accidentally” having them. So there is really no reason for Kate to be on, then, is there?
If ETHICS comes up…! You think that board is smokin’ now! If Kate was my patient when she got pregnant with the 6, I would be listening VERY carefully to how she says it happened. Any doc who goes ahead with an IUI during a cycle of 7 follicles is just as guilty as one who implants 8 embryos, IMO. I’m not clear HOW Kate became preggers with 6 because I have heard so many different versions.
I don’t think LK is going to ask Kate any hard questions, plus she has probably already been briefed by her PR people, she will once again, double speak, evade and lie by ommission in her answers and dodge another bullet, gag, I abhor that woman !!

I hope you were watching Larry King. Kate seemed very defensive.
She should really stop during this interviews.
It’s a whole panel – a psychiatrist, an OB/Fertility Specialist, CNN’s Dr, Sanjay Gupta, and KATE! For God’s sake, she’s an idiot! “I felt like I had octuplets!” I wish she’d shut the hell up with this statement over and over again! “ALL ABOUT ME!!!!” She just says the usual blah-blah-blah, puntuated with the inordinate number of “um’s.”
Tam – I counted 15 “um’s” (at least) during the total of less than two minutes that she actually talked. This was not a Kate interview. She is just “showing face” for PR (you know, public relations).
And it looks like she’s had some more plastic surgery in a serious way. She must have a procedure done weekly. At least regular botox. She is so full of shit.
I scored 32 ‘umms’ a couple were 1/2 a/um’s. What’d you get?
I was way off, though if she had more time in the hour she was on pace to hit our predictions. We should have kept track of the drs too, because they ‘ummed’ quite a bit themselves.

Not only where the questions that he asked the “panel” totally ignorant, but he totally avoided or missed one of the main reasons that people are so pissed about Octopussy – she can’t friggin afford to have this kids – any of them!! The bankrupt state of CA that can’t even give tax paying citizens their tax refund checks is footing the bill. And she’s been hospitalized since 23 weeks!! Larry used to have an edge, and I don’t watch him a whole lot, but did with George and Cindy Anthony and then I wondered what the hell happened to his edge. He treated them with kid gloves.

When someone punctuates their comments with the word “basically”, it means that whatever they are saying is not completely true. So Jon and Kate are “basically” doing everything themselves. She stumbled pretty badly over the beginning of her answer to that question, yet managed plug the book Beth wrote. Priorities, people!
I laughed out loud when she said, at some point those using science have to take personal responsibility for the resulting offspring of fertility treatments (paraphrase). HELLLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

She definitely did a bit of squirming when she lied her way through how SHE got pregnant with HOM. And she looks like she had a cheap spray/bake tan going. It just killed me when she LIED through her teeth about her & Jon doing everything in terms of taking care of the kids now. I just caught the tail end of the second showing ( maybe they show it again around 2 but it’s not worth staying up for I’m sure! ) where they had a split screen of her and darling Doctor Gupta.

What is up?? First of all she’s hitting the tanning salon, looks like on a pretty regular basis from her color.
She has definitely had something done around her eyes. Her forehead has been frozen for awhile now. Whether she has some Botox or some Restylane or some combination of stuff, she has had something done. Invasive procedure, probably not. But definitely she’s had injections. There is no recovery time with Botox and it verys with other injectibles.
She certainly was dolled up to appear on Larry. Maybe ISSP was right and she thought she was being introduced to royalty. Either that or this is her way of getting back at Jon for having fun in Utah without her.
I stole one of Kates’ coupons and got a new sectional sofa on sale at Ashley Home Furnishings, hehe big plug.
I’m suddenly reminded of the movie/play “Chicago” – Roxie, who is lapping up the attention she’s getting from the press, is found innocent of murdering her lover. The press is all over her, and she’s in her glory….but then right at that moment another woman kills her husband, and the press moves on. Roxie is not just yesterday’s news, she’s last minute’s news.
With stories that Octopussy (who coined that?!? I love it!) is already getting book and tv offers, you can bet that TLC/Figure 8 are scurrying to make sure their Roxie is not dethroned.

I think that it is a ruse to rally for real deals, but I don’t think she is going to get too much that is legitimate. Tabloid, yes, legitimate? Lisa, I have to tell you, I hate Oprah. Her show has become both redundant and ridiculous. It seems to me that over the last several years, Oprah’s ethics have eroded. Back in the 1980’s and 1990’s, Oprah used to have compelling, thoughtful, and often controversial shows that really got to the very crux of the issue at hand. Now, it’s so Hollywood and I can definitely see Oprah jumping on the Octopussy bandwagon and giving this woman freebies and maybe even a house. If she does do that, Oprah will have turned my stomach for the final time.

I don’t remember how much my c-section was waaaay back when, but my son had his appendix out last March-arrived at ER @ 3:30am on Monday, operated on (laproscopic appendectomy) by noon and back home by 1pm Tuesday. Total hospital/dr $21,000+/- a few $. I signed on to WebMD before we left for ER just to make sure I wasn’t going to rack up major $$ for walking through the door. How sad is that? (it goes without saying if he was in agonizing pain, I wouldn’t have wasted a second before getting him to ER).
And there’s that $1.3 million magic number again (same as 1st reports of Konpound price) . Another coincidence in this scandal?
Some encouraging news in that rr.com article is that corporate sponsors aren’t lining up to give Suleman freebies, and even her PR guy admits it’s going to be tough promoting her for now. I can’t believe any amount of “laying low” to rehab her image would help.
I thought this quote from Kate last night was interesting:

Unfortunately I am having bedtime issues with my 21 month old right now so I missed both the McMansion episode and Larry King. In regards to Oprah though, I find she really annoys me these days…she constantly repeats things and thinks it makes her sound smart, and a number of my friends and I actually think she is starting to come across kinda racist…..which years ago I never would have thought. Her shows lack importance now…but I guess when you have been on TV for as many years as she has you run out of important things to talk about.
Also I thought when the whole possum thing came up again, moon got a bunch of seating from IKEA?? Did it break already, ikea is so cheap sometimes. I am comfy on the floor, but I will provide Tim Hortons coffee, AND DONUTS!

Larry King did a follow up tonight on Octopusssy with her new spokesperson, Joann Killeen. Killeen just grinned, like the Cheshire Cat, as she described her client as an “intelligent, bright, articulate, educated, working professional woman, with a great sense of humor and a joyous attitude about the 8 babies.”
Larry did ask about the medical care of Octupussy and her litter and WHO was footing the bill(?), and all Killeen would say is that they are patients at Keiser. WTF does that mean? Does that mean all the doctors (there were 46 in the delivery room alone) are donating their medical services? Of course WussAss did not press on the issue!
Killeen went on to say, blah, blah, her client is weighing her options..blah, blah….the rumors that have been circulating aren’t true, blah, blah…..she can’t wait to tell her story(for the highest price, no doubt), blah. blah….octopussy just wants to be a great mother to her 14 children, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, BLAH…..
The interview seemed very phony and contrived and again, WussAss dropped the ball on the tough questions. I would say the mother and her spokespeople are trying desperately to do damage control because 1) public outcry is only getting louder 2) major sponsors are NOT ponying up the support and BIG BUCKS she was expecting 3) the media is not throwing millions of dollars at her for her story.
Poor Octopussy, she isn’t getting the response and price for her children that she expected! As a self-described professional student I guess she forgot to take:

As much as I dislike Kate, I feel sorry for OctoMommy and especially for her kids. I want to see them with enough food and diapers and whatever they need……. I hope they are given what they NEED…. just not a TV show.
I think the lid’s about to blow off that pot of Kate’s Old Grandma’s Soup soon! There are too many links and media outlets to keep up with anymore, and a majority of them are starting to cite the Gosselins as an example.
In a side note, I watched last night’s 17 Kids & Counting episodes. Tivo started during last minute of the J & K +8 zoo episode. The difference between the couch interview then (earlier in 2008) to what we’ve seen the past few weeks is like watching a totally different show. Dare I say the bitch was almost ‘tolerable’ to view? And then the difference in family dynamics between Gosselins and Duggars…geez. Not a new observation, just kinda makes your eyes even wider to the whole Greedslin mess.

I think I can safely say that WE ALL feel sorry for the kids. Kate’s kids and Octopussy’s kids do not deserve to be exploited the way they are by their parents. Octopussy’s strange situation raises the questions of not only her financial ability to support the kids, but her mental ability as well. Hopefully she is being evaluated by the appropriate experts so that they octuplets will not only have all the material things they need to survive, but also the mother they NEED to be loved and cared for.
Nancy, I’ve read that the corporate sponsors have given Suleman their usual freebie package that they give to any family who’s had a multiples birth. It’s not a lifetime supply of food or diapers. So it’s not that she isn’t getting anything, it’s just that she’s not cashing in as much as she’d hoped.

I agree – the lid is going to blow sky high! For the Greedlins I think the jig is finally up. I have been reading media link after link concerning Octopussy and every one now refers to the Greedlins, and not in a favorable light. I also agree that the Duggars are a breath of fresh air and I almost wish I could go spend a day with Michele Duggar, just hanging out and talking about the joys of motherhood, because she GETS IT!! They may seem a little “out of the mainstream” socially, but if I had to choose someone to raise my son (God forbid something happened to me and my husband) and the choice was between the Duggars and the Greedslins – no questions if would be the Duggars!!

I think it was fxfanatic that said she will not get her state taxes this year b/c Calif is broke, but what she does get to do is work every day and pay taxes for some dumb bo that wanted a brood of kids with out a job, ins. or a husband. Oh BTW shei sgoing back to college too, Now can you see her taking atleast 12 kids to school with her everyday? toting all the little ones in and out,? but… she don’t even have a way to haul all those little ones, well I guess someone will buy her a bus. where do they all sleep at night? I understand her house is only a 2-3 bdrm and her parents live with her, again b/c of her stupidity.
This woman never gave second thought to who all this may inconveience, b/c she knew exactly what she was doing, she saw a way to never have to work again, but what if it back fires on her? I think if she can not support her kids with out state aid then the state needs to step in and place them else where ,espically when it was done on purpose, Other wise we may see another Andrea Yates or Casey Anthony, Can you imagine her and just maybe grandma taking care of 8 preemies along with her others that are still in diapers?
This is just plain stupidity and it’s not fair that tax payers have to bail her out, thats all we do is work our butt off to bail out some lazy, stupid low life who thinks they are too good to work for a living.
