Her face was really tense – the only reason I noticed is because I had on that Supermodel show last night (during the Cubs games commercials) and that Tyson dude was showing some poor clenched up kid how to ‘relax’ his face since his expression was so harsh. Same look as Kate. Very clenched. Granted, I only tuned in for about five minutes til I turned over to the Cubs – I couldn’t stand watching her reading her script.

That’s right Kate can spin that school crap if she wants to. But the school has computers(just in case you forgot Kate) and during computer class they are using the Internet. My mother is a bona-fide card-carrying crisis-creating drama-doling dual diagnosed Borderline/Narcisstic Personality mental case who has not cracked yet. She’s 94 years old. She had nine kids because she was the perfect “Nine Month Mother” – she loved the perks and attention of being pregnant, but when the kid was born the maid and the other kids raised it. There was never a broken bone among us (rare for so many kids), but ALL of us have spent time in psychotherapy for fractured minds to one extent or beyond. Way beyond!

I have not spoken to my mother or any of my siblings for more than 20 years. With the help of my 500th psychiatrist who was actually helpful, keeping them out of my life proved to be the only way I could remain sane! Believe me, I’d much rather have family; I just cannot have those crazy-making people in my life.

My BIG complaint when I’m feeling sorry for myself is to say “she’ll never know the damage she did, she’ll never realize what she lost… In other words, she’ll never “crack.”
TVSnark, do you really think Kate will someday have to face the horrific things she has been and done? Do you think people like that suddenly grow a conscience and become accountable for the devastating impact they’ve had on others? I’d love to think it could happen.

I have a question for all of the posters who say they are huge fans of the “show”. These are children’s lives we are talking about. These children have been filmed while throwing tantrums, bathing, using the potty, and even during a painful impacted bowel incident. The children have little to no privacy. There are no laws to protect them and yet people are continuing to praise these parents? I am very disheartened to hear that these children have “fans”. The Gosselin children are not actors.
I’m not a hater. I’m a mother with four children and two have special needs. I am up at the crack of dawn and don’t get to bed until very late. I could certainly use millions of dollars to help raise my special needs children but I wouldn’t sell their privacy to do it.

I have a sister that is a total text-book socio-psychopathic, anti-social, malingering, diabolical(to use the words of Casey Anthony’s friend) liar who has not cracked yet, but she’s only 46.
The thing is nobody really understands until they have been the victim of these people, and sometimes not then.
Nancy Grace goes on about the things Casey Anthony does in total disbelief. If you’ve lived with a person like that, you know what they are capable of. My sister is the original CA, except for the murder part. Casey Anthony will not crack, and Kate Gosselin will not crack. Everyone is down on George & Cindy, but in my opinion they are ready for the loony farm. Lord only knows what Kate’s immediate family would have to say.

I missed it last night but my cat woke me up to go outside and I just watched it online. She has that combo of *Deer in Headlights/Do you have a bigger syringe of Botox?* look to her. I could only watch a bit of it. She was making me sick plus it is 4am and I have no ice cream! LOL

Im so glad I went scrapbboking tonight. when I’m in a better mood from having to fill out tuition assistance to keep my daughter at Catholic school (27:1+an aid in the classroom), I’ll attempt to watch it. Drunk.
I watched the Today show yesterday and she’s contradicting herself again. What else is new? Sounds like more of that from the comments here. I don’t hate her. I feel sad for the kids. Yes, I’d love to write a book about my special needs son, but its not only for him, but to help any other mom who’s been called a neurotic freak to her face by her son’s doctor. And I will admit that now and when you see me on Oprah.
Also, she’s supposed to be on the 700 club again in the next week or so. I don’t remember the date off the top of my head. This should be interesting. how will the PR people spin the whole marriage thing for that appearance?

How stupid can some people be?

I checked out the blogger comments from the lkl website. I find it very ironic given that so many sites you go to whether it is a blog site or a news article site, The criticisms are far more harsh regarding what they are doing to their children, the personalities of kate, Jon’s poor
behavior , etc. However , strangely on this particular blog, there is far more Positive comments with a few negative comments thrown in from time to time. ( I actually had to leave the site because i couldn’t bear to read it all)– So Magically, all of a sudden, these fans supposedly came out of the wood work with all these flowing words of love for them??? I’m not buying it. The only thing that makes sense is that I believe a very high number of comments were not permitted to be shown (for obvious reasons ) and it is making the G’s come out smelling like a bouquet of roses – I don’t think any of this will “crack” her one bit. She’s got a thick skin, remember. All the glorious comments which outweigh any negative Posted on that website will just help feed her hungry ego and further convince her that what she is doing to her innocent children is the “right” thing to do. how sad.

I just cannot throw more anger at Jon & Kate and I am deeply sorry for the anger that I have unleashed on them so far. That family is in REAL trouble and I am terrified for them. I actually prayed for them last night.

Think of when you were younger and you did many things that were bad and wrong and you regret them now. Did it help you when people were spitting in your face at the time, instead of being compassionate? I just don’t think that we can punch Kate into removing the kids from the show. And I don’t think that we can punch John into growing up and becoming a real man and father to his children. If you want some results, you should reach out to the positive fan sites and brainstorm some ideas. We are the tv viewers and are extremely powerful. Without us, there IS no television show.

This whole disaster has made me change my tune drastically, if you look at my posts from previous months. It was all about making fun of her self-tanning “natural glow”, rooster hair and propensity to castrate John at every opportunity (though he totally deserved it.) I never thought that they were in genuine danger until now. And that changes things. 8 kids’ lives are close to being destroyed. Trying to annihilate Jon & Kate will not help these children one bit.

I am in the beginning stages of spending some much needed time away with my husband, so LKL was not on my radar last night but I think I have the gist of it from everyone’s comments.
Seems to have been a rehash of earlier tripe.
I gagged when I read about her saying she ‘choses happiness’…….I am trying to think of a time where she actually choose to be happy as opposed to having to have utter control over every situation so that it plays out according to Kate Gosselins’ rules.
The woman is rarely happy unless she is off by herself at the spa, shopping for free clothes or miles away from home with Mr. Gray.
She also, ummmmm, has the speaking skills,ummmm, of a second grader,ummm.
I did notice on the today recap video that her hair did seem to be less porcupinish in the back.
And what is this being able to refute footage? Last I saw the furniture store/impacted bowel epi, nothing had been edited out. They didn’t see anything that would affect the kids in that episode?

They heavily moderated it after so many negative posts. When they opened the blog there were mostly negative posts with a supporter every now and then. I went back about an hour later and all the negatives has been removed and what was remaining was positively positive.

is this stuff for real? His qualifications are very extensive in reguards to protecting the Who’s Who of the world, Im confused, kate said she was not a celebrity, and doesn’t want to be one, yet she has what sounds like to me one of the most qualified security guards in the world, WTF.

Let me tell you something, I am not older than dirt, but I am getting there. With that comes a lot of life experience with mistakes made. Every decision that I have made in my life, good or bad, has made me who I am, and also allowed me to parent with eyes wide open and allow my son to make and LEARN from his own mistakes. He in turn will allow HIS kids to make their own mistakes, allowing them to learn and grow as human beings. That being said, Jon and Kate state that they do not read blogs, so mine should have absolutely no effect on them or the incredibly poor choices they have made that have landed them in the position they are in.

Who has put themselves in danger? THEM. Who is destroying their and their children’s lives? THEM. Who will have to face the fall out for their actions? THEM and, unfortunately, 8 innocent children, bought and sold due to their own parents’ greed and narcissism.

Or his experience could be written to sound much grander than it really is. He was a police officer for 19(?) years, security companies always hire ex-law enforcement and ex-military. He has ‘worked’ in alot of areas, but what kind of work? Did he stand at the entrance to a royal function making sure no one brought in video cameras?

Showbiz Tonight on HLN is on right now and they are totally calling her out!!! They are saying how she’s contradicting herself and at the end of the day she’s just trying to sell a book and promote a show. They’re taking a poll to see if people think they should end the show and it is overwhelmingly “yes”. They even said people are totally up in arms over this.

I watched that last night. HLN has these segments on during the day wherein Jane Velez-Mitchell state her “Issue” of the day and I just caught one. He issue of the day is Jon and Kate Gosselin – how they using their kids as commodities and how they are whining about privacy and trying to hide behind the religious values that they have been peddling for the last number of years. Yay for Jane Velez, she is on their trail now! AND she cares about the kids!

Leave Jon and the kids out of it and off-screen. Give them their lives back, or at least what pieces can be salvaged. You have power as the owner of this blog and you could be the first voice. Ok, I will bite, lol. I have said previously and on numerous occasions that if Kate scored a talk show or whatever show, that is A-OK with me as long as the kids were left out of it. That sentiment still stands.

However, if you are suggesting that I start a blogging campaign to contact networks etc to hire Kate for a show, that is not going to happen. Kate got her first show, Kate can get another one on her own.

I tell you what. You start a blog to help Kate and I will link it here so people can go see what you are advocating. That is where my help to and for Kate Gosselin will begin and end.

These folks got themselves in this mess, these folks should be mature enough to get themselves out of it. Believe me, Kate Gosselin will be just fine. She will manipulate her way through this and use it to her advantage as she has already started doing. Kate is one greedy, narcissistic bitch who really likes the limelight and all that comes with it, hence her little media tour after the story broke instead of going home to her kids and keeping quiet. This would have been half blown over by now just by issuing some statements and taking care of what is important – her kids. What was she doing instead? Plastering herself all over the airwaves.

It was reported yesterday morning by a Reading radio show that Jon was out drinking Wednesday evening while Kate was in NY taping Rachel Ray and getting ready for the Today Show taping.

Now YOU tell me where their priorities lay.

I have no fucking sympathy for two parents that refuse to put their children first.

I just mean that we can be the ambulance to this crime scene and not the rubberneckers……….But now is the time that you could start a push to get Kate her own show

Hi Moon,

I found your blog awhile ago and figured that it was finally time that I weigh in and comment!

I was a long-time fan of the show. I think what initially attracted me to Jon and Kate was the fact that I’m half-Korean and my fiance has coloring similar to Kate’s. I would watch the show in the beginning and look at the kids, thinking that they were adorable. I imagined that I could be looking at our future children.

But as time continued, I got sad to see how Kate treated both her husband and children. Watching her berate Jon on camera was almost embarassing. I don’t think I have *ever* spoken to someone in that tone or would ever imagine doing it. And as time continued, Kate’s behavior towards the kids just appalled me. How does a parent constantly favor one over the other? Or generalize that one sex of children is better than another? Or allow private moments of their lives to be shown on television? My parents have pictures of us sitting on the potty when we were little, but they didn’t splash it on tv or send it to everyone in the world.

As the show continued, it became readily apparent that this was no longer a show about a large family trying to make it work, but a family who was taking advantage of their situation and getting the most out of it. It was hard for me to watch the Gosselins go on vacation after vacation with their kids, stay in five star resorts, and accept freebie after freebie. And while they were accepting all these handouts, they were still preaching that they were a *regular* family who was lucky to be in their position. It quickly became apparent that they were no longer like every other large family in America, but greedy parents willing to do whatever it took to get what they wanted. And how incredibly sad that it is at the expense of their 8 beautiful children.

As the latest events have been unfolding, I realize that this is just an awfully sad situation. Right now there are 8 kids who have effectively been abandoned by their parents. One parent is off trying to convince the world the family is perfectly fine, while the other one is pretending that he doesn’t have to come home to 8 kids and a wife.

Exactly. She went on three shows to tell people that her kids are the most important thing to her. The irony is that she was in NYC stating that over three day’s time. Some of her fans are saying that she was commuting. 5 hours round trip from Wernersville to NYC. Commuting? Yeah right.

Kate does not want the gravy train to end and will stop at nothing to keep it going.

She and Jon are the worst excuses I have seen for parents this year besides Casey Anthony and Ronald Cummings complete with his child bride.

Re Mr Gray is it or isnt it.

JMO, but I think Jon is done. Over and done, could care less and done. I think he has harbored a lot of resentment toward Kate over the years. She wanted kids right away, he wanted to grow up. He wanted one more, she wanted a litter. He’s done having kids, she wants another baby. He’d like to be shown some respect, she treats him worse than a hired lackey. To be fair I’m sure he’s no real prize either but Kate chose him (and his rich father). Now she’s clinging on as tight as she can to the merry go round while Jon is busy loosening the bolts. I’m just surprised he hasn’t had some keggers at the manse.

The fact that the kids have had strangers filming them and taking their pictures for so long that it is nothing unusual to them is a sad and very, very scary commentary. How in the world does one learn stranger danger when your own parents have let people take your pictures and film you in all types of situations, including the getting your clothes changed, in the tub and removing fecal matter from your little bottom?

Moon I did not know if everyone got to read the scans but I found a portion of this almost unthinkable. Jons’ former boss tells the story of Kate being on bedrest. He states she came into the office yelling and screaming at Jon because Jons’ father delivered her lunch late. This is the man that passed shortly after the sextuplets were born. How can anyone look at this, read it, and defend her ass for one second. How self centered this thing must be.

Also I read and am beginning to wonder if all of this is a continuation of the Jessica Remo story. Maybe you know who calling her boss complaining about her article, lit a fire to dig deeper.

What I find interesting about this is that Bentonville is the worldwide headquarters of Wal-Mart and those of us who live here know that when “celebrities” (gag!) visit our area it’s ALWAYS to visit the retail gods here and to try and broker some kind of deal. For instance awhile back we saw Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen flying in and out of here like they lived here and then low and behold they did a line for Wal-Mart! I wonder if she’s up to something?!!

Ok this is my first post but I wanted to pass this tidbit along… I live in Northwest Arkansas and I saw a huge ad announcing that Kate will be in the Bentonville Arkansas Sam’s Club to do a book signing on Sat May 9th.

I just called that store. It is CONFIRMED that Kate will be there signing books starting at 11:00 am. Yeah, the day before her kids’ 5th birthday and in light of the recent controversy, Kate is flying across the country to go sign books.

Now, fans, what do you want to tell me about how she puts her kids first?

In the people section of our paper today there was a short article about J&K. It mostly rehashed the tabloid reports and Jon’s denial but I found this paragraph interesting:

Kate Gosselin, who has been promoting her latest book, “Eight Little Faces: A Mom’s Journey” has cut back on press availability amid the allegations. She canceled an interview with The Associated Press two days before a scheduled interview.

Of course she canceled the interview. The AP has real reporters who might actually ask some hard questions.

I have not seen it confirmed and I doubt NBC TODAY would show it BUT, can anyone confirm there were protesters at the TODAY Show taping of Kate on the 7th?

I never even heard about it until someone posted it on Musings that it was going to happen. I have not heard anything else about it, quite frankly. I do think, though, if it went down that the paparazzi would have picked it up and reported it for sure.

Gotcha, Moon. The monitors will be delivered, sans bedazzlement, in plain brown packages. The elves are fine with this, as they heard an orange ogre is in Arkansas, and they wanted to check it out.

I also meant to say – the photos of Deanna – presumably at the KONpound – make me sad. The kids will probably get attached to her and she’ll be one more person gone from their lives when she’s kicked out by Kate (with or without Jon).

A bit OT:
But does anyone remember the episode where J&K and the kids were doing pictures and the new opening to the show?
The end where the photographer reveals an “earlier days” picture of J&K and the tups, with the twins “missing in action”. OMG that episode really was disturbing. Kate went all nuts over the picture and ridiculously emotional, in front of the twins. If I can recall one of the twins asks were they were(not sure of this). If I was her, I would be pissed that photographer did not include ALL the kids in the humongous picture. It’s like if the twins were not part of this journey with J&K. J&K are ridiculously selfish and do show blatant favoritism towards their kids, and of all things on national tv. They are ridiculous. This “show that is their life” consumed them, chewed them up and is now spitting them back out. Very sad.
