Judy has a good idea and one I support.
To wit:
“Also, I have an idea. What do you all think of comprising a list of honest questions to send to news sources? I think most of the news outlets are barely scratching the surface of these two. They don’t necessarily have the whole back story.
We could put together a solid list of questions regarding the inconsistencies from the beginning. For ex: Why did they claim Jon “lost” his job due to insurance issues when his former boss has since come forward etc.
And
Why is Beth Carson no longer on the show when they have been referred to as the Gosselin’s “best friends”. Beth Carson authored Multiple Blessings (see Reading Eagle newspaper 12/08) and yet Kate has not mentioned her ONCE on her book tour.
We could also ask about the overstimulated ovaries and the countless friends/volunteers that are no longer in the pic.”
From reading/hearing the reports of many news outlets over the last few weeks, they ARE woefully uninformed and really don’t know the back story of these two. What really makes me chuckle is the entertainment “news” programs, such as “Showbiz Tonight” that hosts panel members such as Calos Diaz, Bethenny Frankel and others that know absolutely nothing about the show, yet are there to give their “expert opinions”, on what, I don’t know.
Allow this entry please to be a portal of not only questions, but of answers that we, that have been following and researching this train wreck for months, can offer as well.
If we can make a comprehensive listing, I will be happy to construct a letter to include with this listing, to send to news outlets, entertainment shows, and other media.

I’m finally coming out of lurkdom to put in my two cents….and questions that have bugged me for quite a while. These only scratch the surface:
How can seemingly reputable companies like Proctor and Gamble put forth Kate as a “coupon clipping, budget conscious” mom, when clearly they are rolling in money? It’s such an insult to all those for whom these are daily legitimate concerns. Also Zondervan……..now promoting that cookbook with “one of America’s most close-knit families”. What? Do they think people are that incredibly stupid?
I’d also love to see a clearer accounting of Jon’s employment/lack thereof. Seems like there’s a lot of different stories (okay, lies) about what has taken place.
Moon, I love the site and appreciate the wealth of smart, caring people who congregate here. It gives me hope that things may eventually improve for the Gosselin kids. Thanks!

I’d also love to see a clearer accounting of Jon’s employment/lack thereof. Seems like there’s a lot of different stories (okay, lies) about what has taken place.
The majority of Kate’s pregnancy, Jon was out of work, as he was fired from his position with a cabinet company due to “stealing time and resources” from the company via spending a good amount of his work time online working to get donations and media for the sextuplets who had yet to be born. Kate and Jon spent many a church speaking engagement (in addition to lying in Multiple Blessings) telling congregations that he had been fired because the employer told Jon and the company could not afford the insurance payments for the family. Jon petitioned the state for unemployment benefits, and he lost. The employer actually made a couple of statements to the Reading Eagle (it is in their archives) setting the record straight, way back when. He again came forward for the Phillie article wherein he was quoted setting the record straight. Subsequent to that article, he has come forward for a few of the other articles, US Weekly is one of them I believe.
After the babies’ birth, Jon was given a job at the PA Governor’s office. He subsequently left that position to work with Beth Caron’s husband, Bob. This was very short lived. No one knows specifically why Jon stopped working with Bob – whether he was fired or just quit. This was prior to the release of Multiple Blessings and not long after Jon was added to Multiple Blessings as an author. Previously the only authors listed were Kate and Beth.
They then stated on the show that Jon was “working for himself”. This was in 2007 – maybe the latter part of the second “season”. Subsequently it is known that Jon was working for himself, yes, at the show and only the show.

My web guy (who is also my son, lol) is on it! Thanks so much for alerting me! I do admit that I have been neglecting my own forums and I apologize for that. There are only so many hours in a day, and Musings blog has taken up a lot of the time I do have to dedicate to Musings blog/forums as a whole. It is that real life gets in the way thing, lol. I have been spending a lot of time in my garden, getting it going, hence I took off moderation mode on the blog as I have no time to moderate it or the forums for that matter.

Her interview with Star: “She’s (Kate) pretty much an absentee parent” and “Kate was always preoccupied with other things like setting up their schedule and taking care of business for the show”

Beth Carson states in her article from the Reading Eagle dated 12/12/2008 “Kate seemed relieved and happy when I offered to write the book since she knew I was so familiar with her story,” she said.

While Carson is listed as a co-author on the book, she makes each of their contributions clear.
“They lived it and I wrote it,” she said.
In an interview at the Grand Rapids Mall book signing, Kate was asked if it was hard to write the book. She responded “Hard, in what way? The time to write the book? We started when the kids were two and it took us a year and a half but to relive all of those moments was difficult, as far as the book went, “that was easy”.
She made no mention of Beth Carson at all.

You say everything you do is FOR THE KIDS. Can you tell us how the multiple vehicles, teeth whitening, hair plugs, tummy tuck, designer bags and shoes, spa treatments, etc., are “for the kids?” You use your children to make money, correct?
(Obviously add anything else to that list that I’ve forgotten that only benefits mommy and daddy.)
Question: How much school have Cara and Mady missed?
Question: If they are working through their problems “privately” (as Kate stated in numerous interviews), why her media blitz shortly afterward airing all of their dirty laundry (i.e., her interview in People Magazine)?

Clearly you wouldn’t have paid full price for them- You’ve made that so clear on past episodes. Just wondering in case the mood ever struck me to go buy one.
Question 2-Is it true that Cary and Mady have to be followed constantly by a bodyguard in school? Why is that? Do you think this type of attention is healthy for them?
Question 3- Why, since it has been made public that Beth wrote the book, haven’t you’ve given her the credit she deserves? Why do you take all the credit for it? Why is she not mentioned as the author on your book tours?
Question 4- Why do you feel the need to continue the show and keep your children in the public arena when it is clear you’ve made enough money for you all to live comfortably with(if the reported 50-$75,000 per episdoe is correct) Don’t you feel your children deserve a chance to have a normal childhood without all the cameras and paparazzi in their faces constantly?

1. Why are some shows/programs/mags just now “jumping on the bandwagon” (The View) when for a year, there have been many people going on record sharing their concerns for these children? As proof, a quick search of the Internet will produce numerous sites and blogs of people up in arms about the children’s work schedule and questioning whether there are laws in place to protect them AND the monies THEY have earned? Many of these sites have gone on record stating that they’ve contacted lawmakers, talk show hosts (Oprah, Phil), sponsors, churches not only hosting, but promoting the actions of this couple, who not only exploit their children, but have lied in churches re: employment and “how” Kate really got pregnant? (I’d love to hear a few comments from the people who donated at churches, and now learn they are rich and have been for a long while, in spite of them pleading poor at the church)
2. Why is there no accounting to prove that monies have been set aside for all 8 children?
3. Does Ms. Gosselin in fact, accept free clothes for her children, who appear to wear them no more than one or two times, has even been “accused” of loading up on said free clothes by ______________(I don’t remember here, was it Gymboree?) only to turn around and sell them at consignment stores?

A couple of ‘trivial’ questions:
1-Why would they do ‘Going Green’ episodes, with Steve Thomas and Sara Snow, and then continue to use paper plates, styrofoam, etc. and appear to exhibit very little conciousness about being environmentally friendly (see multiple appliances, automobiles, atvs, choppers etc)?
2-Why would Kate presume to write a cookbook when she, herself plagiarizes recipes and proclaimed (Korean Dinner Season 4, Episode 5) that ‘Real cooks don’t use recipes!’ Also, it has been reported that the Gosselins employ a cook and craft services (filming days).
More fuel for thought – another poster on gwop – remarking about
k’s bikini pictures on radaronline – good figure but thick around the middle and showing larger boobs. WHOA, WHOA, WHOA! I would like to keep these types of speculations off Musings please! It is no one’s fault, louise, so please don’t feel that I am pointing you out, because I am not. I know not everyone knows what I want on Musings or not, even I don’t know at times and make a decision quickly, just like I did regarding this speculation.

Here’s a legal question:
If sponsors/advertisers invested in what they believed to be a “wholesome family,” would they now be able to pull out without repercussions? If allegations that the marriage was in fact kaput from as long as six months ago, were sponsors/advertisers aware of this when Season 5 began filming? Could this be considered fraud?

how were the Gosselins able to by pass the usual waiting period that most other couples are subjected to before being given infertility treatments? Also on a related note, given the astronomical cost of said treatments , how were they able to afford the treatments yet still be in need of such massive assistance as per the Gosselins, even with the twins?

They say they received an e-mail from TLC or Discovery (can’t remember which) but was this e-mail received after they sent their video?
Gram123 you beat me to the college fund question. Excellent questions btw. I would also like to know if they were receiving government aid after Jon received money from his fathers estate. Also, have the children been able to speak with school and/or set (yeah I’m calling it a set as they are being filmed) counselors to speak about their feelings and any problems THEY have with filming. Last one, does TLC threaten or intimidate people who have spoken out and if so, why has no one gotten an injunction against them.
My question would be….if they care so much about thier children and insist everything they do IS for thier children and they are just your average typical NORMAL family, then why do the children not do NORMAL things like other children? For instants, sports, girls scouts, boy scouts or childrens church youth groups? I also have never seen anything metioned about them being able to be involved with school activities such as programs and plays. Why not?
Also, I know you profess to be christians, then why do you not regularly attend church, bible studies or church activities. I can’t remember the last time you even mentioned anything about “church” on your show.

My niece had a tummy tuck and she definately does not look like this. Looks like someone screwed Katie Irenes tummy tuck up royaly! You can still see the small pooch that should of been smoothed out. Also the cut on this bikini is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to low for anyone that is a mother, wether you got the bod to sport it or not,(and she doesn’t) let alone a proffessing christian mother! NASTY!
Kudos for the photo though, Katie Irene always has such a nice look on her face. Wouldn’t it be fun to put together a photo album of all these “happy” pics of Katie. Almost every single pic of her published she has that sour look on her face.
I don’t know…life is short, love one another, care for one another and just be thankful each and everyday that God gives you to breath and stop sweating the small stuff like the messy house, or messy kids or money. I would also know that why, since they twins’ school calendar states that the lower school’s last day is June 6, why were they taken out of early to film at the beach in NC? This production could not wait a few weeks until they got out of school? Are they going to miss the end of the year school parties in class? That wonderful last day when nothing really happens except for class parties and everyone excitedly waits for that final bell? I loved those days.
They are taken out of school a great deal for this show. It is also interesting to note that since the sextuplets’ birthday on May 10, this is the 4th show that they have filmed.

I think they placed her belly button in the wrong spot. It is up too high, too close to her boobs(now I know they are fake). That may make the bottoms look too low. She does look good, but I always think that she is older than 34, at that age she should look like she does.
Does anyone else think K seems like she is in her early forties? There is something about her that makes her seem about 10 years older.

Kate, why the body guard (Mr. Gray I think I know why). Why do you, alone, surround yourself with body guards?? They are always around you. Have there been death threats, threats of bodily harm? What?? If someone was threatening me I would think about my children and their safety first. That doesn’t seem to be the case here. They are always around only you. I think you need one in your own mind. You are not an A-list celebrity. I hate to break the news to you. If it’s gotten to the point where you need protection then maybe, for the sake and safety of the children, you need to stop this nonsense now. Billy Bush clearly acknowledges that “it’s been a long day and the kids are tired ” on the first segment , and then on the most recent half, his narration states something about the kids being restless after a 4-HOUR SHOOT for the segment.
Question:
Clearly, these kids are working. How can the State of PA, major media outlets, journalists, etc deny the proof that is seen every week on national television ?
6. You said that filming is normal for the kids, implying that it’s ok because they’re used to it. How do you feel about kid’s being abused regularly? Since that’s their “normal”, is it ok?
7. What are your kids interests? What do they want to be when they grow up? What makes them sad? What makes them happy? How many times have you met their friends and their parents?
8. Kate, how do you show your love specifically for each of your boys?
9. What was the rationale for leaving a very sick child on the laundry room floor and turning off the light and closing the door on him?

Kate has professed to her and the family eating Organic, yet in recent episodes, we saw a lot of conventional products (Minute Maid Lemondaide, Coke, Pizza from a pizzaria, french fires, Happy Meals.) Alexis (I believe) is shown dring someone Starbucks’s Frappachino in this week’s episode, from the promo. Did Kate realize how much eating all Organic REALLY costs and decided not to waste the money? Or were there specific sponsors for the episodes?
She looks older because she is unhappy and miserable. She looked good on the copy of people because they airbrushed her. Her belly button is high because of her tummy tuck. They make you a new belly button when you get one. I’m not quite sure why her doctor put it near her breasts.
All I want to know and the question that hasn’t been asked is:
Are trusts set up for the children to receive a portion of the money for each episode?
Are the parents in charge of the trust or is someone who is neutral and responsible only to the childrens’ welfare overseeing the trust?
OK, a couple more:
Is there anyone on the set during filming who is ensuring the kids are supervised, fed, get naps as needed, and safe? When the parents are filiming, is someone making sure conditions are safe?
Does the film crew ever act as a babysitter?
Is money being set aside so each of the eight children can be supplied a 24/7 bodyguard when they grow older and leave the Konpound…for their own safety?

Why did you ( Kate ) make your sick little boy lay on the hard laundry room floor when he was so sick, and make him feel like he did something bad when he vomited, instead of showing tenderness and concern? How would you have felt if you were 3 and vomited, and the first thing your mother said was , “NOT ON YOUR COMFORTER!!! VOMITUS GIRL!!! ” Would have have reacted that way if it were Hannah who did that?
Why did you so strongly object to Kevin and Jodi getting paid, after they helped you and Jon out tremendously over the past few years with your 8 kids?
Why is Jon denying an affair is he was videotaped coming out of Deanna’s house in the wee hours of the morning? What was his reason for being at her house at that time ?
Does Steve Neild live at the Gosselin home? How is his own marriage surviving his being at Kate’s side 24/7?

You once said on your show, “We don’t have the money for extravagent things ( tummy tucks, hairplugs ) and even if we did, we wouldn’t use it for anything other than our family. We wouldn’t take that money from our kids for things like that”. ( I think this was either the wardrobe episode or the hairplug episode ).
If this is true, then why the sports car, 4 wheelers, tanning, Utah condo, new jewelry, high end wardrobe and shoes, new kitchen, boob job, etc? ( I feel like there is nothing wrong with spending money on yourself if you have it, but chaps my behind when you talk out of two sides of your ass ).
How much more money do you think it will take to feed your kids and send them to college?

13. Do you have enough yet for the kids’ college funds? If not, how much do you need?
14. You have been estimated at a worth of at least $10 million. Do you have all your needs met yet?

Regarding the comments on Kate’s belly….she just appears to me, to be putting on weight. I noticed it a few wks. ago but can’t remember the pics that lead me to that conclusion. I think her weight seems to go to her legs as they almost look swollen. Though it does look like it’s traveling up to her pouch.
Question:
In order to keep the kids clothes in almost perfect condition so they bring “top dollar” at the consignment shops, do you not allow your children to do many things most kids do, play in the dirt, roll down hills, ice cream, gum etc.

Your brother states in his interview that the crew from the show, approached him and his wife, about being uncomfortable with some of the filming on moral grounds. What might they have been concerned with?
Are you children being filmed literally 8 hrs. in order to produce 15 min. of film? If so, WTH is going on at your home?
Just curious. What magazine will have Kate’s bikini debut on it’s cover. I say STAR. Any other bets?

Kate says about herself as the camera zooms in on her “I don’t look glamorous, but this is not a glamorous job” and then she finishes by saying “thanks for watching”. They say they received an e-mail from TLC or Discovery (can’t remember which) but was this e-mail received after they sent their video?

Yes, I do. That is because “age’ has a mental/emotional/pychological/spiritual component – not merely chronological years. She is wound so tight and is so nasty, that she seems way older than her actual age of 34.
Man, as Kate would say, I just sifted through the rest of the “bikini” shots, I think there are like 20 off them and in not “ONE” of them is she smiling!!?
If she can’t even have fun on vacation with the kids, I can go for her, I love the ocean! And I would even smile.

According to one of the articles linked above, one lady that was interviewed stated that the kids played in the sand, she didn’t see them go in the ocean. The water looked a little rough that day, so I’ll cut her some slack on that one, having grown up not far from where she is now…that undertow can be deadly! Six of them in the water, were she actually watching them by herself, would not be wise.

The latest ‘pap’ pictures of Kate are soooo completely PLANNED! She needs to be seen with her children, so she struts in a bikini, KNOWING the paps are there, and conveniently, the nannies are nowhere to be seen (?). What an egomaniac. Jon if you are so miserable how do you think your children feel? And why are you given the opportunity to “take a break” doing activities such as bar hoping when you do not give your children a break?
1) What do you do to insure social development for your children, do they get to do normal activities with children their own age? Are they allowed to have friends spend the night? Are they allowed to spend time at friends? These mostly pertain to the twins.
2) If one or more of the children express that they do not want to participate in an episode are they allowed the choice?
3) Have the tups been seen by a developmental specialist as they seem to act significantly younger than their biological age?
4) Wouldn’t it seem more appropriate for the older children to have their own rooms?
5) Do the children have a choice in what they wear? I have some friends that are twins and they completely despised being dressed alike when they were younger.
6) What do you do to nurture the differences in their personality, it seems as if they are treated like a group instead of individuals?
7) Kate, how many hours a week do you actually spend quality time with your children?
9) Do you have individual accounts for the children and what percent of the royalties for each episode, speaking engagement, book sales, ect. do the children receive?

I do not know. All I do know is that I received an email stating that the “Hannity” show was reporting on it tonight. I have never watched “Hannity” and most likely never will again. The nurse is on Geraldo and it’s interesting she says Johns infidelity is definitely plausible. Hmmm. He may have been a cheat a long time ago. After all, he had a GF when he met Khate. The nurse also says she thinks that maybe the show should end. The reporter from the Enquirer also says they will hope to have a profile on Jons new chickie. Geraldos legal counsel states she thinks it’s obvious the kids are working and there is a violation of the labor laws. He also showed Khates bikini pic.
From Geraldo – the blonde on the panel (with Kimberly Guilefoyle) said that the exec. producer at TLC said the kids were going to school in Switzerland and the show will now be “Jon and Kate Unleashed.” I know we all agreed earlier that this was a joke/rumor, but is there now some legitimacy to the claim? Please tell me no. In Take’s sick and twisted mind, with people being only commodities to be used, it makes sense that if the kids no longer serve her purposes, they can just be shipped off to Switzerland out of her hair and she can pursue “stardom.” This is disturbing. Well, she seemed to be back to a “the kids are filmed much too much stance”. She seemed nervous to me as I said, but not the nervous as in being nervous about being on TV…..more nervous and as Giddy stated, coy. It was kinda weird.
Ok, OT and my last post. Geraldo just said a spokesperson for Britains Got Talent said it was obvious Susan Boyle was mentally unstable during auditions and they contemplated even showing it. I know they said she had learning disabilities. Are they trying to throw her under the bus so she doesn’t try to point a finger at them?

Do you think church members would have donated money to your family knowing your true income? Selling your photos to eager fans while making that income is outrageous too.

At the end of the fourth season Jon was photo’d multiple times with female bar patrons in several different locales and it hit the rumor mags. TLC two weeks before the season final (March) started airing a promo that eluded to your explosive marriage issues being addressed. When aired the final did not bring forth any marital issues (only the Jon wanting to be Jon bit and the only thing Kate was throwing out was the set.) Did you go along with this promo ad’s ruse using the dissolution of your marriage as it’s basis? Were you not worried that your children would see these ads (or classmates would tell them) and cause them undo worry that their family was falling apart? Or (worse yet) did you prepare them for the ploy to up ratings?

As you (Kate) admitted your marriage had not been working for six months, during this time the cameras kept rolling for the end of season 4 and begining of season 5. Yet it appears you and your husband were willing to deceive your fan base into believing you were one big happy family to keep the show continuing. Now you (Kate) have stated you are the realist reality show on TV. How real can that be if in your reality you are living a pretend life ?

Not surprisingly, I was disappointed with the reporting on Geraldo. The FOX news correspondent, Courtney Friel, was misinformed. She reported that there are 89 episodes, including the 40 ordered for Season 5. That number is WAY OFF. Simple research will show that that there are 99 episodes in the can: Season 1 – 8 episodes; Season 2 – 12 episodes; Season 3 – 31 episodes; Season 4 – 41 episodes; 3 specials (original documentary, update and Going Green); and Season 5 – 4 episodes that already have titles (so I will assume these are complete). The above DOES NOT INCLUDE the additional 36 episodes for Season 5. This reporter admitted reading the blogs … so perhaps that is how she gets her information??? WHY can’t these people do some simple research before jumping on the bandwagon to report on a hot topic?

Kate has no business in that bikini, I don’t care how fit she thinks she is. First off the woman has a man’s body, no boobs (real ones anyways) and no waist. She looks freaky freaky”ish”. That thing with the belly buttom happens often in tummy tucks. Patricia Heaton (EVERYBODY LOVES RAY) had one and does not have a belly button at all but, Patty looks better in her bikini.
You assessed your first home to be worth $250K in 2005. Your second was purchased at $325K yet Kate became a stay at home Mom at that time and Jon just went back to work earning slightly less then $40K. As far as the kids getting shipped off to Switzerland…..I can’t see how this can be true BUT if Kon and Take ever did decide to ship them off why not to Kevin and Jodi’s, why not with family who loves them??

Besides the scars she has a pooch that shouldn’t be there. But why am I not surprised, my sister used the same doctor for her lower eyelids and she she still looks exactly like she did before surgery. I guess you get what you paid for, NOTHING. Kate, I live in lil’ ole Tampa Fla and I have a FAB-u-lous plastic surgeon that can fix your f**cked up plastic surgery, give me a call sweetheart, I’ll hook you up…..but then again, he doesn’t do pro bono.

Me too! All the little , fun things that Cara and Mady miss out on to PERFORM – it’s so sad. My son’s last day of school is June 16. The next 11 days are full of fun end-of-year festivities – I can’t imagine denying him the fun of it all, just so I could have bigger boobs.

Just watched Geraldo about Jon and Kate and I felt he did a really good job on all the points brought out as well as Kimberly Guilfoyle and the other lady he had on. Most of what was said was what we have been saying about the children are definately working and it is not a healthy enviroment for them. It was said that there definately is violation of labor laws and if the show doesn’t get shut down because TLC vows to comply, that they feel they will again violate the laws and eventually be shut down.
YEA! Also they touched on the Switzerland school for the kids and they also do not believe it to be true.
I also didn’t think the kids old Nurse Angie Krall really had anything to offer and looked very uncomfortable speaking to begin with.

I have a question in regards to this trip to North Carolina..didn’t the Gosselins want to move there before the house they were going to build fell through due to lack of donors? It was alleged that the reason for the move was that North Carolina has very lax laws as far as Child Labor is concerned.
Isn’t it a bit coincidental that Kate pulls the twins out of school a week before it lets out and drags them to North Carolina during the very week that the state of PA decided to investigate them?

I may be alone on this one but I think the bikini is perfectly fine. I never read anywhere that bikinis were off limits as a mom. It’s not tiny or stringy. I WISH I looked like that after my kids. I’ll bitch all day long about her being the Devil, but I can’t say that sans haircut she isn’t a good looking person. I’m 29 with two little boys and I’d buy that suit in about 40 lbs time!

And she definitely could have pulled up her bikini bottoms a little bit before that shot was taken, I would hate to see her from the back in that picture, too much crack showing, I’m sure.

I doubt that the story about sending the kids to Switzerland is true but if it is, that is disgusting. First off, if you wanted to send them away to a private school away from the cameras, there are plenty of posh schools right here in the US. They may not want the kids though. Because of all the publicity.
Secondly, those kids are going through so much and you would decide to send them away from you? Do you even care about them at all?
If she sends them away, then she will win the top prize as the meanest mother on the planet. And that is saying alot.

“The (state) law forbids temporary employment. The state does not authorize temporary employment under any circumstances for children this young,” Kolman told RadarOnline.com.
And if the state investigation categorizes the 41-episode as temporary employment, the Gosselins and the show face possible stiff penalties. (The Department of Labor will make the determination about temporary employment, says Kolman.)
“If it’s found that there is a problem, the Department of Labor can sue the parents,” Kolman told RadarOnline.com. Under Pennsylvania child labor laws, he says, “the parents can be prosecuted by the Department of Labor and Industry. Under those circumstances (they) could face a criminal proceeding.”
They would not face prison time but could be subject to a fine.
Kolman, of Timothy M. Kolman and Associates, also says that the Gosselin twins and sextuplets must have a work permit in order to work on the show. “If the Gosselins failed to get the required work permit they could be facing charges in front of a local magistrate,” Kolman told RadarOnline.com. “The work permit would have to be authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Department must review the permit (application) and ensure the children’s welfare, education, safety, and health are properly being taken care of before issuing the permit.”
A spokesperson for the state refused to tell RadarOnline.com if the children have work permits. The spokesperson did confirm that the investigation is ongoing.
Said Kolman: “If the Gosselins failed to get the required work permit they could be facing charges in front of a local magistrate.”
Kolman said that under Pennsylvania law these work permits cannot exceed 6 months and can only be used for a single artistic endeavor, not for temporary employment or any long-term arrangements. The permits are renewable.
Kolman said if the Department of Labor finds the Gosselins are violating the Pennsylvania statute, the parents can be criminally prosecuted under Pennsylvania Child Labor Law. Even worse for TLC, the show could be shut down and the Gosselins’ case could be referred to social welfare agencies in Pennsylvania, who could potentially remove the kids from the home!

Maybe the state should make an example of the Gs. There could be pressure for them to set a precedent so that legislation could be enacted to protect ALL children in reality tv in every state.
Is it an election year for anyone in that part of government? They could push it or ignore it. Which ever way it is going to look good for them in the polls.

You are not alone! I mentioned this yesterday and was shot down as well, lol, which is perfectly ok. I like differing opinions. It could be that I have no problem with it as I lived in South Florida, 2 miles from the beach, for 15 years and am pretty used to seeing a lot of bathing suits. Damn, compared to many of the Europeans and Brazilians that frequent South Florida beaches, this bathing suit could be considered “matronly”, lol. I am used to seeing a hell of a lot of strings and thongs, and not only on teenagers and 20 somethings.
I think that the bottoms for sure were too small as they are cutting into her skin. I also think that her belly button placement and no waist looks odd and all in all she could have chosen something more flattering that defined some sort of a waist for her, but as for a mom wearing a two piece or a bikini for that matter, it doesn’t bother me. I just saw a pic of Julia Roberts in a bikini. She looked great, IMO, and she has three kids – twins and a singleton. She is also 41 I believe, and it didn’t look as if she had a tummy tuck, though as always, I could be mistaken.
I was just waiting for the bikini shot of Kate. She has been working out. 2 hr on a treadmill. I thought with her kids being old and feeling more sexy/alive she would be breaking out the new improved Katie. I give her a (clap) she has balls lol.. with those thunder thighs and no hips.. good lordy

While I may dislike Kate intensely, I don’t care if she wears a bikini. If I could get away with it, I would! I do, however, think that she knew the paparazzi would be around and wore it as an “in your face” to all her critics. I’m late to the party sorry long day yesterday. My single question is concerning school in Sept–
1. are you not sending the tups to regular kindergarten so you can continue to film them however/whenever you want?
2. what does the school recommend for them in terms of learning–if in fact a few of them were thought to need a full day would you split them up to help them or are you only focused on your personal needs?
3. if learning issues finally manifest themselves, as most do when school age hits, will you stop filiming to better help your preemies develop?
I keep looking at the little ones like a teacher and they have needs that aren’t being met at home. At least that’s how it’s coming across on tv.
Not sure where to post this … but did anyone else notice on the bikini pics, that Mama Gosselin has absolutely NO tan lines. So, is she doing bare butt tanning? Gotta make that bod look appealing … going back out in the market place.

Questions I would LOVE mainstream media to ask:
1 – Have you put away any of the money from the show for the children?
2 – The vow renewal was an obvious lie to ME (“we want to show the kids that mommy & daddy will be together forever” – um, the fact you said that made it clear that something was already rotten in Denmark)…why would you do that to your children?
3 – Is there any neutral party on site when TLC is shooting that is there solely to advocate for the children? (a parent who is being paid is not neutral)
4 – Do Cara and Mady get tutored when they are pulled out of school for shooting? (How the school is rolling over on anything that is going on is beyond me…)

Has anyone thought of sending a letter to the surviving Dionne Quints? Having them speak out on this would be the nail in the coffin I think for J&K putting those kids on TV.
I used to review Medical claims for an insurance company to determine if they were cosmetic or functional.. Major abdominal procedures such as the tummy tuck remove any shape of a waistline.. Not sure how much of one Kate had before the surgery. That’s why she looks weird in the bikini. She is definitely behaving like a singleton on the prowl for a new mate.
I was thinking about the agreement Take made to Jane re “its over, do as you want, just be there for filming”. Or something to that effect. I would love to have that cleared up. A good reporter may be able to get the truth out of Take, I would hope. Not just what she said, or if its in writing, but when exactly.
If, as people are saying, she’s wearing the bikini for the paps, why is she also ALWAYS wearing a sour face? I would think that if you’re posing on purpose, you would at least TRY to look attractive.
