Mario McNeill Is Charged With First Degree Rape Of A Child And Murder One~
Nov 19th, 2009 by BohemianMoon

My only question at this juncture is WHEN the mother will be charged with murder as well?
I would like nothing more than to see them BOTH take a rendezvous with Good Ol’ Sparky. Anything else for either would be much too good.
I send my condolences to the taxpayers of North Carolina. No doubt you will be supporting these two for appeal after appeal after appeal, not to mention protection in prison custody. Perhaps it is time to take a stand and protest. Due process and then take ‘em out back and slowly strangle each while sodomizing McNeill with a battle mace. Anything else would be much too good.
The entire system failed this little 5 year old. Shaniya Nicole Davis, Godspeed. Heaven is lucky to get an angel like you. You are everything that is good.
From the Fayetteville Observer:
Man charged with rape, murder in 5-year-old’s death
By Nancy McCleary
Staff writer
Fayetteville police have charged a Fayetteville man with first-degree murder and rape in the death of 5-year-old Shaniya Davis.
Police announced the new charges against Mario Andrette McNeill during a news conference tonight.
Shaniya apparently died of asphyxiation, according to preliminary autopsy results released tonight.
McNeill was one of two people charged in Shaniya’s disappearance. He previously was charged with first-degree kidnapping.
The other person charged was Antoinette Davis, the girl’s mother.
She is charged with human trafficking, child abuse involving prostitution, filing a false police report and obstructing an investigation.
Shaniya was reported missing from her home in the Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Park off Murchison Road on Nov. 10.
She was seen on surveillance video at a Sanford hotel being carried by a man police have identified as McNeill.
Police have said Shaniya was alive when she left the hotel about 11/2
Her body was found Monday in woods along Walker Road in Lee County, about six miles south of Sanford.
Fayetteville police delivered evidence from the case to the State Bureau of Investigation earlier today, a spokeswoman said in an e-mail.
The delivery means officials in Cumberland and Lee counties may have reached a decision as to where the case will be tried.
Ed Grannis, the Cumberland County district attorney, said Wednesday that prosecutors were waiting on some SBI lab results before making a decision on where the case would be tried.

Well, as a resident/taxpayer in NC, I know this will be a circus. Something that puzzles me about all of this — the biological father of Shaniya had custody of her until about 2 months ago. He said he gave Shaniya back to her mother because the mother told him she was straightening her life out and wanted to be a real mother to her daughter (she had been mixed up in drugs, had some legal scrapes, etc which is why the father had legal custody) — the father believed her, and just handed the daughter over to her. He was interviewed (but not asked the ‘tough’ questions by the media — does this surprise anyone
?) I wonder if he did his due diligence on checking up on the mother prior to just giving Shaniya back to her mother… did he check up on his daughter after he gave her up?… how could he just give his daughter up so freely? When he was being interviewed he almost sounded as if he had given a lost dog back to its owner.

I agree, Bobbi and I have been waiting for more info regarding this. My questions certainly have not been answered. I do not understand how he did not follow up with the school making sure that they had his information and that he should be called regarding anything and everything with his child, from going home sick to issues or successes in class. I also am appalled that he did not contact family services there with the same information.
Something is not right with this.
I know there is no way I would give up my 5-year old child for ANY reason, and especially to a mom with very questionable character. I don’t know if the father did anything legally wrong but I question his motive and reasoning for giving the mom so much freedom with the child. Have they said how much visitation went back and forth over the 5 years? Something’s fishy here.
Don’t know why this one is effecting me so strongly. Maybe it’s because there have been so many lately and this one just sent me over the edge. WTF is wrong with people thinking that kids are no more than disposable trash. So many of these child abduction/ murders have been by parents/ family members. Just don’t understand it. And to the first person who says ’she’s in a better place, now’ … I’m gonna smack you upside the head with a 2×4. A better place would be a loving home, Shaniya’s not going there.

I read that there was no legal custody in place and that they “worked it out between them”. Meh. Anyone else hear anything more?

But hopefully there IS something more – some place in which she will be revered for the wonderful little girl she was, or is on that plane.
It is effecting me as well.
The Olton case is bothering me greatly too.
Allegedly this despicable woman is pregnant again so NC will be footing the bill for that as well.
My opinion is the father should get jail time right along with the other two. Was raising a black child too much for him to handle? This story just infuriates me. Seeing the pictures of that animal carrying her into the hotel room and what that little girl must have endured makes me want to vomit. These 2 deserve to be tortured. I hope they turn him loose in the prison population and he’s raped to death.
It’s taken 26 years here for this son of a bitch Brian Dugan to finally get the death sentence for raping and murdering little girls. He was identified as the killer of the 7 year old by his DNA on her teeth from his penis. Why are these animals allowed to live so long? I hope they all die a slow torturous death.

Right, I read that as well. And this little child will probably go to the father’s family. I have not read much about him. I also haven’t read much about Davis’ other child. A 7 year old boy? Does anyone know much about him? I do hope he is in GOOD foster care right now.

I believe his other children are biracial as well. But then I also read that he hasn’t really ever raised any of them for any amount of time. I could be mistaken on that, though. I am looking for the article in which I read this, and thought I bookmarked them, but I am not seeing it.

And cost the taxpayers how much money?
It is wrong, so wrong.
Moon ~ This is one time I wish I did believe there was something beyond death. Right now I hope I’m wrong and all the other people are right. Tho, I really did mean the ‘better place’ for Shaniya would be a loving home, not being dead.
Agree about the Olten case. … 15 y.o. girl digs graves and plans for a week to kill someone just to see what it’s like? That kid has serious mental problems. Didn’t the article also say she was into cutting?

I knew what you meant and I agreed – so many good families (including mine) would have found it an incredible blessing and honor to give that child a good, stable, loving home.

Yes, as well as electrifying herself and her brother on their electric fence. While I know that she has mental issues, I am pleased to know that she will be tried as an adult. I know that opinion is not a popular one.

I’ve often described myself as a “bleeding heart liberal” but as I get older I’m getting less and less tolerant.
The Comic George Wallace used to say, “If I were president, all those criminals on death row?? They’d be dead!!”
Life in prison doesn’t teach a lesson. It provides 3 meals and a cot for life.
When they figure out how to make money off the broadcast of executions, I bet we will see much more of them.
I feel for the innocent who have been wrongly convicted but I have no pity for the guilty.
I used to live in Fayetteville, NC and I can tell you that Cumberland County has the highest child abuse and sex abuses cases in the state. It is horrible. I cannot tell you how many times stories like this are in the paper or on the local news. Child abuse there is so rampant; it feels like you are on another planet. The majority of the women there are troubled and desperate and end up getting pregnant on purpose by military men. The men then leave and they have a child they do not want and in turn abuse. I have seen this so many times there. It is also not uncommon there to see young girls as young as 6 years old walking around town with see- through shirts on and very short skirts simply to attract men. You have moms abusing children who end up someones victim or start the cycle over again with their own children.
I am sickened by this case. It makes my stomach turn so much that I literally want to vomit. This piece of trash Antoinette needs to be thrown in a room with 1,000 brutal sex offenders and have the door locked behind her. She is a sorry excuse for a woman and is by no means a real mother. I hope this McNeill is put in general population where the other inmates torture and brutalize him for years to come. There absolutely is no justice for what happened to little Shaniya.
I get so pissed when I hear this kind of thing that happened to this little girl .In the personal ads in our daily newspaper there is always loving childless couples pleading to adopt a baby. Some paying for all medical expenses and even giving the birth mother money to get back on her feet after the baby is born. Than you have low life’s popping out kids like candy from a pez dispenser with no means to care for them or so drugged out they only care about were their going to get their next fix.
I think they ought to bring public hanging back for these despicable excuse for a human beings and charge admission. I’ll be the first in line. I’m including the father in this too. If he thought anything for his little girl he shouldn’t given her back to that so called mother. He wanted rid of her too. RIP sweet baby girl.
This story makes me want to vomit. These child crimes are getting out of hand. They are going to have to get tougher and kill these sick F**** in a public forum.

That is one of the problems though. Even if they don’t go for the death penalty, he can still petition to be in protective custody – isolated from the GP, and he will get it.
If he is on death row, he is isolated.
He wins either way.

Yes, thank you!
From it:
………..Coleman said he was angry about Shaniya’s death.
“He knew the situation with this girl,” Coleman said. “He knew the kind of environment.
“Why take Shaniya back to a woman like that? That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard.”
The Colemans and Brad Lockhart have been on opposing sides in several lawsuits in recent years, most of which were dismissed. A case filed in 1998 resulted in the Colemans being granted custody of their grandchildren and child support in 2007, according to court files.
Before Shaniya’s death, Lockhart was paying child support on three children, including Shaniya and two of the children from his marriage.
“I would have kept Shaniya, but he never asked me,” Phyllis Coleman said. “After all, I kept his (other) three children.”

Because I believe that God is love, I know there is life after death. Certainly no one would dispute you that this precious child’s right was to have had loving, caring parents, who would have felt blessed to have been her mom and dad. Unfortunately, she didn’t and in that sense, she is most definitely in a better place. That does not make me feel any less anger and rage towards her mother and “Mario Andretti” McNeill. BTW, I also believe my God is a God of justice.
The worst scene that plays over and over in my mind is of that monster carrying that little girl into that hotel. She had no idea what was coming. I fail to understand or comprehend how a ‘civilized’ country and its people put so little value on the weakest among us. Until we get really tough on these scum bags will it ever lessen. Trash like this deserve no trial, just hang ‘em high. When you have this much evidence, a trial is wasted. I know it is the way our country is run and I understand why it is that way, but for some cases, there just is no way they deserve any chances.
KristyLyn ~
You answered your own question, it’s because we are a ‘civilized country. Being civilized, we have laws, that the majority of us follow, but also are available to those who have broken them. We must continue to abide by these laws/ rules or we will be no better than the lawbreakers.
OK – I’m going to go throwup now. That was just too damn sanctimonious. … FRY THE BASTARD!
This one is affecting me so strongly, I’m not sure why, other than it is the most disgusting case I’ve seen in a long time.
I am completely revolted by this woman.
That gorgeous child was only seen as money to her. JFC, what a horrible case. What horrible times.
I hate to say this but that woman should be sterilized–she doesn’t deserve the blessing of children. I would love to start a fund so that those 2 horrible pieces of filfth would be “accidentally” placed into gen pop for a night so that they get a just punishment. That man needs to be raped and she needs a smack or 7.
I had issues after my 3rd was born I was paralyzed with fear about things that could happen to them and I was afraid to leave the house. I didn’t want my oldest going to school I know now it was post partum and I started talking and getting help. The anxiety still hits but I fight it. To think of my children ever going through what that beautiful little baby went through is terrifying.
I agree that the father deserves a second look he’s an idiot and he should be sterilized too!!!!
Screw the trial and due process, just take the both of them out back and strangle them repeatedly to the point of death while ramming a thick broom stick up their butt hole, revive them to the point of conciousness and repeat the process….over and over again …..and when they are nothing but a bloody, barely breathing heap of stinking human flesh drive them out to the desert and feed them to the coyotes.
Lillian Glass, the body language expert wrote about little Shaniya body language when she was being carried by that beast into the elevator. Honestly, I couldn’t finish it. I couldn’t let myself read any further than the first two paragraphs. I wouldn’t let my mind go there.
She said basically that the way she was holding her legs in that picture(At the elevator doors) that she had already been sexually abused. Also, she could have been in pain from the whole experience and that holding her legs tight together to eased that pain. That is all the further I read. Couldn’t do anymore. What excuse for human beings they are. All Three! I’m including the biological dad on this one.
Ughh–the mother needs to be charged with murder as well–maybe not first degree, but she had to have known that she was putting this child’s life in danger (among other horrible things).
And, the look on that guy’s face in the mug shot–makes me want to smack the smirk off of his face–permanently.
That little girl just had a light emanating from her eyes. She glowed.
To destroy that light, innocence, hope, joy is the ultimate in evil.
I too am completely sickened by this case.
2009 is the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which
Read the resulting document (easy to read) at ;
http://www.crin.org/docs/resources/treaties/uncrc.asp
The articles contained within can be broken down into ” three P’s”: participation, protection, and provision.
It would be naive of me to say adherence to the CRC tenet’s would have prevented Shaniya’s death by removing her parental abuse and placing her in state care (family reunification is a high priority; as it should be)- but -
There were two countries that did not initially adopt the convention and have still not signed
The United States and…..
Somalia!
President Obama has expressed an interest in exploring this further, which caused members of Congress to pre-actively launch a website dedicated to The Rights of the Family.
Give it a critical look. No one will deny the basics and it makes you shake your head to think “someone had to write this down?’ but-
what about the rights of parents and families? government intrusion? funding? what is minimal education? define “good” and “good enough”, does right to identity include gender?in the U.S. how will state v. federal law work? etc., etc., etc.
And don’t forget, despite our undeniable current economic suffering, we are largely comfortable Westerners and much of world is not.
@TVsnarkie ~when I was a youngster, playing bridge in Spain with some older ladies just I looooved, one particularly wise one told me it was normal to liberal when young but abbie-normal to remain that way ur whole life. Keeps me patient while I’m campus as one of the older students now…….:-)
No really, I almost murdered a group of theater students the other day, who were trying their hardest to be outraged over an econ policy they just didn’t have enough time on earth to grasp..

You are not alone, this one is affecting me more than any other case too that I have seen. Watching that monster carry her in the hotel room and the way little Shaniya is so scared just breaks my heart. Because we all know that a brutal rape and murder of a child is about to take place. Watching the news for this and reading the articles I have tears running down my eyes. I just cannot stop thinking about this case, that I have so much rage against all the parties involved.

I vote for that too, throw some fire in. I’m serious.
I hope there is a hell. Those 2 need to burn in hell for all eternity.
Legacy.com has little Shaniya obituary and there are 3849 entries in her guest book. So this little girl that only lived five short years and was ended so tragically affected many people.
A very old epitaph, but it is appropriate here, despite my tears.
“It is so soon that I am done for, I wonder what I was begun for?”
I signed her book. I wonder just who will get that book? If it’s her mother, I will go there and jab forks in her eyes, if this freaking monster is ever released to the public.
I hope no one in Shaniya’s scum bag family get her guest book. Included is her low life father whose ass is parked in a million plus dollar home. I think he gave his little daughter back to the drug addicted mother because Shaniya was cramping his life style. The mother who gave her to that beast, who took away her innocence and killed her…. absolutely not!
That guest book should go to an organization that deals with crimes against children. Open and on display for everyone to see.
